Memphis Avalanche: A man by the name of Fisher while riding along the old Covington and Randolph road, during a wind storm, last Sunday morning, was struck by a falling limb and instantly killed. His horse escaped uninjured. Fisher had been working during the past year on the farm of Mr. James Smith, near Garland, in Tipton county. Beyond this, little is known of his past history. At one time he was employed as a clog dancer in one of the Philadelphia varieties, but came to Garland from Middle Tennessee.
