James Taylor Glass, 69, life-long resident of Tipton county, died at his Atoka residence Monday morning, December 17, at 8 o’clock , after being in ill health for some months. Funeral services, held at the Salem Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church at 10:30 o’clock Tuesday morning, were conducted by Dr. C. B. Betts, pastor, assisted by Rev. W. F. Cooley, pastor of Atoka and Munford Methodist Churches. Interment was in the Salem cemetery. Mr. Glass was born in the old family homestead about one and one-half miles from his home at the time of his death. He resided there continuously until a short while ago when ill health forced his retirement from active farm duties. He then moved with whom he had made his home for years and who is his sole immediate survivor, to Atoka, where he has since resided. Mr. Glass was a member of the A. R. P. Church and lived a consistent Christian life. He had many warm friends in Covington and other places as well as in his home vicinity. He was highly respected for his business acumen and exemplary life.
