John Henry Glass: Died at his home in Garland at 1:10 Sunday morning following a three-day illness. He was 78 years old. Mr. Glass spent all of his life at Garland and was a farmer until he retired. A member of the Garland Methodist Church he had served as trustee and a steward in the church for many years. He helped to make the bricks that are in the present church building. He completed his 18th year of attending Sunday School every Sunday on the second Sunday in April. Services were held by his pastor, the Rev. H.H. Eates, assisted by the Rev. M. C. Padgett and the Rev. S.B. Morrison, in the Garland Methodist Church at 10:30 o’clock Monday morning. Interment was in Munford Cemetery with Maley Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Glass leaves his wife, Mrs. Mamie Glass; two sons, Charlie Glass of Garland and Floyd Glass of Covington and two brothers, Dave Glass of Garland and Jim Glass of Oak Grove.
