Mrs. Mollie Glass, 80, died at her home at Garland Wednesday morning at 12:18 a.m. after an illness of 10 days. The funeral was held at the Garland Methodist church the same afternoon at 4 o’clock, the services being conducted by Rev. W. I. Drake, pastor of the Covington (Methodist) circuit, assisted by Rev. S.B. Morrison, her former pastor. The interment afterward took place in Shiloh cemetery. Mrs. Glass was the widow of the late I. N. Glass, and a daughter of the late Austin Moffatt, of Mississippi.
Mrs. Glass is survived by two daughters, Mrs. J.H. Glass, Miss Ina Glass, and three sons, Herman, Jones and Lee Glass, all of this county. Mrs. Glass’ husband, the late I.N. Glass, of revered memory, passed away early in January of this year and her grief over his passing was so great that she had not been well since that time. Mrs. Glass was a native of Tippah County, Miss. She had been a lifelong and consecrated member of the Methodist church, was an active church worker and her life was full of good works. Her passing is deeply deplored in the community where she led such a long and useful life.
