Alfred Green Williams was born on 23 Jul 1874, in Haywood County, Tennessee. His father, James Franklin, was born in 1842 and died in 1900. His mother, Mary Ann Baucom, was born in 1846. I have not found her date of death or her place burial. Alfred’s father died when he was 25 years old.
In 1895, Alfred Green married Josephine T “Josie” Williams. He was 21 years old and she was 23 years old. They had seven children during their marriage. The children are Herman Green, Della, William F, Jodie M, Thomas Ashley, Florence Marrie and Jennie G. Williams.

- Dr. Barnum Brown’s fantastic fossil discoveries in 1900 – He located “bones of a large Carnivorous Dinosaur. As a matter of fact, Dr. Brown had uncovered the first skeleton of a Tyrannosaurus Rex.
