IN SEARCH OF INFORMATION | As an amateur researcher driven by a deep personal passion for Tipton County history, I am actively seeking documents, records, and stories that can help illuminate the people, places, and events that shaped our local heritage. While I may not be an academic by trade, my dedication to preserving our area’s past is a rigorous labor of love. My research spans everything from tracking the lineages of early families buried in our historic cemeteries to documenting the cultural and structural evolution of our small towns and unincorporated communities. By approaching this work with an open mind and a meticulous eye, I hope to bridge the gap between official archives and the lived experiences of the people who built our communities, making our shared history accessible and engaging for everyone.
I am particularly interested in preserving the finer, easily lost details of West Tennessee history, whether that means analyzing nineteenth-century newspaper clippings, transcribing archival records, or tracing the fascinating legal and geographical history of our Mississippi River island enclaves.
