The George T Taylor family cemetery is located in the garden at the residence of Miss Emma Click. None of the original markers remain but a monument was recently placed there signifying the graves. The marker there has the name of “Vineland” on it but it has since been discovered that this was the name of the George A. Taylor place. Mrs. George T. Taylor was a Somervill and two of her brothers, Rev. Joseph J Somervill and Thomas T. Somervill, along with many of their families lie in rest there. The last two buried there were Col. Taylor himself in 1885 and his daughter, Mrs. Frances A. Taylor, in 1886. At this time the property was no longer in the family and the graves were soon plowed over. Col. Taylor’s granddaughter, Mrs. R. T. Brodnax, Jr., and her husband are buried in Cedar Hill.
