Lucinda Thacker was born on 1 Oct 1803, in Allen, Kentucky. Her father was Edward P Thacker, born 1 Jan 1775 in Fluvanna County, Virginia. He died on 8 Nov 1845 in Allen County, Kentucky. Her mother was Elizabeth Polly Morgan, born 18 Nov 1779 in North Carolina. She died on 6 Feb 1842 in Allen County, Kentucky.
Lucinda married Rev. Lewis Adams on 4 Jul 1818 in Allen County, Kentucky. They had at least three children during their marriage. They are:

After the War of the States, Lucinda was living in Tipton County, Tennessee. Tennessee was the first Confederate state to re-enter the Union in 1865.
On 23 Jan 1878, in Tipton County, Lucinda lost her husband, Lewis. They had been married 59 years. She continued living in Tipton County, TN after her husband’s death.
Lucinda died on 29 Jul 1886. She was 82 years old. She is buried in Adams Cemetery located outside of Munford, Tennessee.
