For many years Mrs. Beasley was a devoted member of the Methodist Church, she being faithful in attendance upon its ordinances until within the last few years of her life, when the infirmities of old age made it impossible. During her life , she reared many orphan children, it being said of her that she offered a home for all homeless children who came into her observation. Mrs. Ethel Billings and Mrs. Gertrude Nelms revere the memory of this fine woman who gave them a home in childhood. Many others she took within the shelter of her loving care who have since moved away or died.
Also surviving Mrs. Beasley are a brother, N. W. Misenheimer, of Memphis, and two sisters, Mrs. H. A. Posey, of Atoka, and Mrs. Louisa Higgins, who has lived with Mrs. Beasley during her declining years.
