COVINGTON, Tenn., July 30 – The funeral of Esquire Samuel A. Wright, one of the most highly esteemed and best known citizens of Tipton County, who died at 1 o’clock Friday afternoon, was held at the Clopton Methodist Church this morning, Rev. V. A. Deshazo, pastor of the church, assisted by the Rev. T. C. McKelvie, former pastor, conducting the services, after which the remains were interred in Clopton Cemetery. Esquire Wright, who was 70 years old, was born and reared in this county. For many years he was an efficient member of the Tipton County quarterly county. He was trustee of the Clopton Methodist Church, of which he was a member, and was noted for many deeds of charity. He was a man greatly beloved. He is survived by one son, S. I. Wright, his wife having died a number of years ago.
